Holder of a master’s degree and a PhD in photonics from Université Laval, Mr. Chandonneret started is career at the Institut National d’Optique (INO) in 1990 as a researcher, while following a formation in business management. Later, he joined the executive team of EXFO before co-founding Teraxion in 2000, where he was president until 2009. The same year, he was appointed entrepreneur-in-residence at INO before founding in 2011 the biophotonics society handyem. In 2016, he joined Optel Medeyon as president. Since 2017, Mr. Alain Chandonnet is CEO of INO. His entrepreneurial journey is thus marked by his numerous experiences gathered from the creation and management of those high profile optics companies.
